The players linked with a Spurs transfer today including £27m defender and Belgium international

What next for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window?

They've already secured the signing of a promising winger in Jack Clarke, although he will spend next season on loan at Leeds United in order to continue his development.

Meanwhile, Spurs smashed their club record to bolster their midfield with the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for £63m.

The window remains open for another four weeks and word is that Mauricio Pochettino's side aren't done in the market just yet.

As well as incomings, there could be some more outgoings with some looking for a fresh start following a number of years in north London.

With that said, take a look at the latest rumours surrounding Tottenham today.

William Saliba

Who? Talented French defender who this week was said to be finalising a £27m transfer to Arsenal.

Where? Reports in France - which have now been backed up by the BBC - have revealed that Spurs have outbid their north London rivals and are now pushing hard to get a deal done as soon as possible.

What? This one is gathering momentum and is one to keep an eye out for.

Dani Alves

Who? One of the best right-backs of this generation who just so happens to be a free agent following his release from Paris Saint-Germain a couple of weeks ago.

Where? Journalist Duncan Castles said on The Transfer Window podcast that Spurs have made contact with the Brazilian.

What? This one has come out of the blue and while he would do a fantastic job at the Tottenham stadium, much would depend on Spurs shifting their current right-backs first.

Giovani Lo Celso

Who? The Argentine midfielder who has been heavily linked to Spurs all summer having impressed in Spain for Real Betis in the season just gone.

Where? According to reports in Spain, Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Giovani Lo Celso and will fork out £150,000-a-week to land the midfielder.

What? No official confirmation just yet, one to keep tabs on.

Toby Alderweireld

Who? Spurs defender who was linked with an exit last summer.

Where? According to Sky in Italy, Tottenham chief Daniel Levy will meet Roma official Franco Baldini in London today to thrash out a deal for Toby Alderweireld.

What? With all due respect to Roma, it does seem rather odd that Alderweireld is considering this move and that no Champions League club has come in for him.
