The Players Championship: Harris English makes ultra-rare albatross

Harris English posted the highlight of the day in the first round of The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, carding a double-eagle two at the 539-yard par-5 11th hole.

English hit a 299-yard drive into the fairway, then dropped his approach perfectly onto the front edge of the green. The ball took one big bounce and released perfectly into the cup.

English came to the tee at 1-over par for the day, but the albatross completely turned around his round. English’s double-eagle is the third in the last three Players Champonships. Rafa Cabrera-Bello made an albatross at No. 16 in 2017.

Brooks Koepka carded a dougle-eagle on the very same hole in 2018 – while wearing the same color.
