Christian Pulisic’s first season in a Chelsea shirt was a very impressive one and Blues supporters have tipped the American to go even better ahead of the upcoming campaign.
With the introduction of more attacking reinforcements - Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz - there are plenty of reasons to be excited at Stamford Bridge.
However, the man tipped to bring the Havertz, Werner and Ziyech era to life is Pulisic - with 45% of Chelsea supporters voting for the USA winger to be named the club’s player of the season.
In a survey conducted by Reach PLC, talking about the upcoming campaign, 30% also voted for Werner, with Ziyech gathering 20% of the votes.
Similarly, Reece James has been voted as the most likely to be the “club’s surprise package” with 41% of the votes.
Kepa Arrizabalaga - who is seemingly out-of-favour with Frank Lampard - received 39% of the votes to shock people during the 2020/21 season, with Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham also having 8% of the votes.
Chelsea have been tipped by many to challenge the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title in the upcoming season.
48% of Blues supporters believe the club will finish the season as champions, and 45% of fans think the side may have to settle for a top four finish again.
The optimism is hardly surprising when seeing that a massive 86% of supporters are happy with what the club have done in the transfer window so far - with just 2% voting “no”.
However, there could still be problems, it seems, with 43% of fans voting for the defensive line as the biggest area of concern going into the new season.
Likewise, 34% of people voted for “fitting all of the new signings into the team”, now that Lampard has various options to choose from.
