The Pistons finally snapping their 28-game losing streak inspired so many Wingstop jokes

The Detroit Pistons did it. They actually did it.

The team finally snapped its 28-game losing streak on Saturday night against the Toronto Raptors with a 129-127 home victory.

The win is the kind of cathartic moment that franchises like the Pistons cannot get enough of in the midst of a disaster season, but it might be a nightmarish development for all of Detroit’s Wingstop locations.

The chicken wing chain restaurant has promoted five free boneless wings on online orders throughout the season for all Pistons wins, which Wingstop has not had to fulfill since Oct. 28, the date of the last Detroit win.

Well, it’s time for Wingstop to pay up to all the hungry Pistons fans who will now assuredly cash in all of those free boneless wings with their online orders. Be kind to your local Wingstop employees, Detroit fans!

At least the restaurant chain sounds ready for the crowds.

Of course, the jokes from NBA fans came through in full force.
