The Pink Moon Marks The End Of One Of The Most Cooked Astrological Periods

The Pink Moon

Good news, my friends. The skies are clearing and the astrological gods are smiling upon us! All thanks to the April Full Moon, which is a Pink Moon, plus the finale of one of the most cooked spiritual seasons EVER.

To prepare you for the Pink Moon, here’s a bunch of intel you’ll need.

You’re very welcome!

The April Full Moon is a Pink Moon

Pink Moon

The April Full Moon is a Pink Moon!!!!!!

When is the Pink Moon?

The April Full Moon aka the Pink Moon will rise on Sunday, April 13 at 10:30am, but its energy will be felt all weekend long.

Can you see it in Australia?

Look, yes… but it won’t be pink. The Pink Moon gets its name from the wild pink phlox that blooms across North America, but the moon itself isn’t actually pink. It’ll still be big and beautiful as a full moon should be, though!

What does it mean in astrology?

We’ve been in one of the roughest astrological periods ever lately, what with Mercury Retrograde, Venus Retrograde and Eclipse Season.

But good news! Eclipse Season wrapped up last month, Mercury Retrograde said adios earlier this week, and the Pink Moon marks the end of Venus Retrograde, so this weekend is the time we can finally exhale.

The April Full Moon falls in Libra, which is the sign of love, beauty and balance (hence the scales) and whataya know? Libra is ruled by Venus, which is completing its retrograde.

This period is all about slowing down, restoring order to the chaos of our lives (and relationships), and feeling the love for the first time in ages.

During Venus Retrograde, there was a heap of confusion in our relationships and hopefully by now, the complications have ceased and the Pink Moon encourages you to go full steam ahead with whatever your heart desires.

Any rituals for the Pink Moon?

After a period of being warned not to manifest or set intentions, you are now invited to ask the universe for whatever you want, especially in love and relationships.

Relationship intention setting ritual

Signal to the universe that you are ready for love or ask for your current relationship to be strengthened with this intention-setting ritual.

You’ll need:

  • A rose quartz crystal
  • A pink or white candle
  • A pen and paper
  • Rose and/or lavender (can be incense, petals, dried herbs, essential oil, whatever you like!)
  1. Light your incense, scatter your herbs, or burn your oil to create the aroma of love.
  2. Carve the candle with your name as well as the name of your intended (if any).
  3. Write down your romantic wishes on the paper.
  4. Anoint the corners of the paper with the oil or allow the smoke to waft over it.
  5. Light the candle.
  6. Burn the paper in the candle’s flame or place it under the candle until it burns down, keeping the rose quartz beside the candle as you do this. If you’d prefer not to burn it, you can fold the paper (ensuring to fold towards you as you’re attracting energy) and keep it in a safe place with the crystal on top.
