The Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang statistic that will worry Arsenal fans ahead of Liverpool trip

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the most lethal strikers in the Premier League and having won the Golden Boot last season he is showing no signs of the goals drying up this campaign.

The Gabon international has already scored two goals in the first two Premier League matches of the season, scoring the what turned out to be the winner in both the Gunners' 1-0 victory over Newcastle and 2-1 win over Burnley last week.

Aubameyang has an impressive goalscoring record in Arsenal colours, scoring 43 goals in 67 appearances for the club since his move from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.

However, with Arsenal heading to Anfield to take on European Champions Liverpool on Saturday, there is one statistic that may worry Gunners fans.

Despite his record in the Premier League, as reported by the Liverpool Echo , Aubameyang has scored just three times in 13 games against the 'big six' club in the Premier League, that equates to one goal every 356 minutes.

His record against the Reds is even worse, in the six times he has faced Liverpool throughout his career, Aubameyang has never been on the winning side, and has failed to find the net.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool remain the only two teams in the Premier League who have won all of their games so far this season, with this weekend's game meaning that one or both will lose that record.

Aubameyang's 22 Premier League goals last season meant that he shared the Golden Boot with Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, the Arsenal striker will be aiming to get one ahead of his rivals as well as breaking his curse against the Reds by finding the net in a Gunners victory on Saturday.
