The personal battle Everton's Gylfi Sigurdsson will hope to extend against Man United

Gylfi Sigurdsson will be looking to add to his own personal record against Manchester United on Sunday.

The Icelandic playmaker has been directly involved in seven Premier League goals against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side (4 goals, 3 assists) – against no team has he been involved in more.

However, all four of his goals scored against them have come at Old Trafford so he will no doubt be hoping to add to that tally and score his first against the club at Goodison come 1.30pm.

WATCH IN FULL: Marco Silva previews Everton vs Man United

If the midfielder hits the back of the net it will give Marco Silva's side a good chance to push forward in the game and take home all three points.

And if that happens it will be the perfect bounce-back for Everton after their untimely defeat to Fulham last weekend following the recent home scalps against Arsenal and Chelsea.

Why Everton should have no fear heading into tough Manchester United clash

A win would also fuel the Toffees' hopes of securing a seventh-placed finish in the Premier League, and potentially Europa League involvement next season.

Of course, it will be a tough task for the Blues when Solskjaer's men come to town but not an impossible one given United's recent run of form which has seen them lose four of their last six matches.
