The perfect way to measure your bra size

No matter how much money you spend on your clothes, wearing an ill-fitted bra can spoil your entire look of the day. When it comes to a bra, a lot of women end up wearing the wrong fit and size for them. Bras should neither be loose that they make your breasts sag nor should they be tight enough to hold your rib cage in a deathly grip. An ill-fitted bra not only looks shoddy but will also break your look.

Nowadays, most lingerie shops have experts that can help you in finding the right sized bra. But if you're still confused on how to find the right size or want to shop online, we've got you covered. With these easy tips, you can do it all by yourself. Follow our step-by-step guide and get ready to measure yourself:

Step 1- Measuring the band size:

In simple terms, the band size means the size of the bra you should purchase. Stand straight, so your back and shoulders are upright. You should not hold your breath or push your chest out or in. Now, use a measuring tape around your rib cage, just below your breasts, where the bra brand comes. While measuring, ensure the tape is not titled. If the measurement is even, add 4 to the number and if the measurement is odd, add 5 to the number. For example: if it shows 28" on the measuring tape add 4, which means your bra size is 32. But if the measuring tape shows 29 add 5 which makes your bra size 34.

Step 2- Measuring the cup size:

To know the cup size, stand straight and hold the tape to the fullest part of your breasts. Once you get the size, subtract the band measurement from the cup size.

For example:

Step 1- Your band size is 28 + 4 = 32

Step 2- Your cup size is 34 - 32 = 2

This means, your size would be 34B
