'The perfect move' - Manchester United fans hope for Anthony Martial transfer after fresh link

Manchester United fans have been talking up the possibility of Anthony Martial joining Juventus.

Massimiliano Allegri's side have reportedly held talks with the Frenchman and are readying an attempt to take him to Serie A on loan until the end of the season, according to 90min.

The 26-year-old's time at Old Trafford seems to be up after he expressed his desire to leave after making just one start in the Premier League this season.

He failed to cement a place under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and with the arrival of Ralf Rangnick, he didn't expect his situation to change.

His agent told Sky Sports: "Anthony wishes to leave the club in January.

"He just needs to play. He doesn't want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon."

Sevilla have shown the firmest interest but have since pulled out of the pursuit.

With the development that Juve could be plotting a move, United fans were delighted and feel the move could reignite his career.

There could be an opportunity for Martial in Turin after Federico Chiesa suffered a season-ending injury last time out.

Speaking at the end of December, Rangnick addressed the rumours, he said: "Yes, we spoke I think it was yesterday (Wednesday), we spoke at length.

"He explained to me he’s been at Manchester United now for the last seven years and he feels it’s the right time for a change, to go somewhere else.

"I think in a way this is understandable, I could follow his thoughts but on the other hand, it’s also important to see the situation of the club. We have Covid times, we have three competitions in which we still have high ambitions and want to be as successful as we can be.

"I told him listen, as long as there is no club showing interest in him, and it should not only be in the interest of the player it should also be in the interest of the club.

"So far, as far as I know, there has been no offer from any other club and as long as this is the case he will stay."
