The paw-inspiring Summer PetFest returns to Dublin this month

Calling all dog lovers - the DSPCA Summer PetFest is set to make a triumphant return later this month.

With bouncy castles, food stalls, daring ziplines, a human obstacle course, Hungry Hippos, and penalty shoot outs from Adventure Bounce, the day will be packed full of action for families and their beloved dogs.

Dogs will also get the chance to receive a paw-mpering with plenty of dog grooming products featuring at the event.

These include Boutique Dog Beds from Wiggly Waggly Tails Ireland, pooch hydration bottles from Paw Pool, and pet photography from The Wetnose Studio!

There will also be a Dog Training display for your beloved pups to pick up some dazzling tricks. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

When families need to take a break from playing with their furry babies and want to tuck into the delicious BBQ that will be on site, they can enroll their pups in an outdoor doggy daycare for a donation fee of €5.

"It will be a fantastic fun day for family and the family dog," Gillian Bird, Head of Education and Media for DSPCA, told Dublin Live.

"We also have lots of free stuff like face painting, free goodies from your dog from Purina, free advice and pet checks for your pets from Village Vets@DSPCA, free hands-on fun in the Reptile Corner and a kids fun area with bouncing castle.

"It is a very special day in the DSPCA Calendar where lots of the dogs and cats in our care find new loving homes and people who have not visited us before learn all about what we do and the great work carried out by the Charity.

"All money raised on the day go towards the running costs of the charity and the care of the animals."

The event is to take place on June 15th from 12pm to 4pm at DSPCA Campus, Mount Venus Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.

Entry for kids is free of charge, with adults a fee of €5.

Barking... err ... parking will also be free of charge!
