The Patriots’ locker room went nuts when Bill Belichick rewarded them with a day off

The New England Patriots bounced back from their only loss of the season with a big win over the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday, though it wasn’t exactly a pretty win.

While Tom Brady and the offense didn’t look great, the Patriots’ defense had another stellar performance after a little bit of a rocky start.

Bill Belchick, however, was in a good after the game and he surprised the team by telling them they deserved their first “Victory Monday” of the season – which means players can take the day off and the week won’t start until Wednesday. Belichick also had fun later trolling the Eagles, too.

The players in the locker room were really happy to hear their coach announce the day off, as you can see at the :33 mark of this video from the locker room:

So yeah, doesn’t seem like the Patriots are panicking too much about their offensive struggles. 9-1 is a pretty good start to the season.

I just think we could all use a Victory Monday, though.
