The Patriots’ defense continues to be the MVP of fantasy football that nobody saw coming

The New England Patriots remained unbeaten Thursday night with a 35-14 victory over Daniel Jones and the New York Giants.

And once again the story of the game was the Patriots defense and special teams, which continued to be the best groups in the NFL.

They’re also becoming a legendary fantasy football selection that nobody really saw coming leading into the season because chances are if you own them then your team is doing pretty darn good so far this year.

Look at what they did Thursday: They returned a blocked punt for a TD, the returned a fumble for a touchdown, they had three interceptions, and they had a sack.

Those are some monster numbers for a group that you might have picked up late in your drafts. They have double digits every week this season and a few performances were well into the 30-point range, at least in my ESPN league.
