The Parent Agency by David Baddiel – review

Overall, we really enjoyed this book! Words we have chosen to describe it are: mind-blowing, astonishing, humorous and mischievous.

Have you ever wished that you could have different parents? Have you ever looked at another person’s family and wished you could be a part of it? Sometimes we have all felt fed up with our families!

Barry is just an ordinary boy (he loves Lionel Messi and James Bond) but bored with his ordinary family that he wishes he could swap for another. He is particularly fed up with his younger twin sisters and most of us could relate to that! It is a funny story that often twists your mind as sometimes you are not quite sure what’s going on!

Many of us found that, once we had started reading it, we didn’t want to stop.

However, two of us did find it a bit too long and thought that if Barry was a bit better behaved he would have been happier!

Overall, 7 out of 8 of us recommend it. If you are aged 7 (with an adult reader) – 12 years old, sometimes get fed up with your family, are cheeky, mischievous and have a sense of humour then this is the book for you!
