The driver of this £150k Bentley parked in the city centre tried to be 'smart' with police - they towed his car anyway

This is the moment a £150,000 Bentley was towed away after police spotted it parked outside a city centre bar with no insurance.

Police say the driver of the convertible Continental GT 'tried to be smart' and refused to hand over the keys after they tracked him down to a nearby bar.

But it made no difference - city centre cops seized the car anyway.

The Bentley was parked on Peter Street (GMP)

And just to rub it in, they shared a picture of the Bentley being carted off on the back of a recovery truck on Facebook.

The post on GMP City Centre page said: "Car seized on Peter Street for no insurance.

"Driver was located with keys in a nearby bar.

"Trying to be smart, he refused to hand over the keys, thinking we’d leave his Bentley Continental GT where it was.

"How wrong, car was dragged onto back of recovery truck. #NoInsurance."
