The other open-air swimming pool less than an hour away from Glasgow

Glasgow has been blessed with some wonderful weather in recent weeks and many have been reported to be heading outside the city to enjoy the nearby beaches and country parks.

Many Glaswegians will be familiar with the journey to Gourock to enjoy the pool in Inverclyde which gives fantastic views over the Clyde to Kilcreggan, Strone and Dunoon.

However, many may not be aware of the other open-air pool just under an hour's drive away from the city.

Located only 37 miles away from Glasgow, in East Ayrshire, Tamar Manoukian New Cumnock Pool is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered.

Situated in the small town of Cumnock, swimmers will be able to enjoy the multiple sessions that the pool provides.

People will also be happy to hear that the outdoor pool was renovated not long ago, meaning it is fully equipped with all the modern-day necessities.

The pool provides adult-only sessions as well as lane swimming, aqua fit, and public swimming with changing room facilities also available.

The pool is now open and is ready for everyone to enjoy, with prices starting from £3.50 for an adult and £2.50 for a child/concession which has to be booked in advance.
