The Open cut line: Who will make the weekend at Royal Portrush?

A total of 156 of the world's best golfers will tee it up in the Open Championship at Royal Portrush this week.

The Open is back in Northern Ireland for the first time since 1951, the only other time golf's greatest Championship has been held outside of England or Scotland. Max Faulkner won 68 years ago, when the field was 98 players.

There is just one cut at The Open, after 36 holes, when the top 70, including ties, will progress to the weekend and claim prize money from the £8.6million purse.

From 1968-1985 there was a second cut, after 54 holes, to further trim the field at the Open.

At last year's Championship, Justin Rose made the cut without a shot to spare before going to on take advantage over the weekend and record his best ever finish in the tournament, tied for second behind Francesco Molinari.

The predicted cut line will fluctuate throughout the first two rounds at The Open, we will keep you updated below.

Predicted cut line: +1
