The 148th Open returns to Royal Portush later this month for the first time since 1951.
With magnificent views in all directions, with the hills of Donegal to the west, the Isle of Islay and Southern Hebrides to the north and the spectacular Giant's Causeway to the east, Royal Portrush really does sit in a stunning location.
The club was formed in May 1888, known originally as The County Club. At the beginning it was just a nine hole course, but just a year later it was extended to 18 holes.
We've had a look through the archives and uncovered some brilliant images of Royal Portrush down through the years ahead of The Open this summer.
