The 144th Open Championship returns to the Old Course in St Andrews this week. The Open is the oldest of the four major golf championships, and the only one currently hosted in the United Kingdom. This will be the 29th time the ‘home of golf’ has hosted the event, with Tom Kidd winning the first back in 1873 while South African Louis Oosthuizen claimed victory last time St Andrews hosted the Open five years ago.
Are you planning on attending the tournament this year? Maybe you don’t have tickets to see the Open, but are soaking up the atmosphere in St Andrews regardless? We’d also like to see old photographs of any leisurely days you and your friends or family have spent on a golf course, or any tournaments you have attended in the past. So whether you’re cheering on five-times champion Tom Watson during his final Open round this week, or you have a memorable golfing experience from the past, share your photographs and stories with us. We will feature the best of them on the site.
