It's full steam ahead for Liverpool in a new season at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp's European Champions are challenging on all fronts as they look to add more silverware to the club's collection and finally end the wait to win a Premier League title.
And we believe there's no better place than the ECHO to follow every kick of the campaign.
Our dedicated, round-the-clock coverage of Liverpool provides breaking news and views from Anfield, all available for free.
And this season we have a new-look team covering the Reds.
Paul Gorst is our LFC Correspondent, bringing you all the breaking news, inside stories and interviews from Anfield every day.
A lifelong Liverpool fan, Paul is born and bred in Merseyside and has established himself as a trusted voice among reporters following the club.
“If you follow football on Merseyside, you will know just how important the Liverpool FC correspondent’s job is viewed by Reds supporters in the area, and — as social media’s explosion confirms — around the world also," Paul said.
“It has long been an ambition of mine to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Chris Bascombe, Tony Barrett and my predecessor James Pearce — to name just three — to one day become the Echo’s LFC reporter. I am beyond delighted to have been given the chance to do just that.
“With the coverage of football shifting and changing seemingly by the week, the role brings fresh challenges and the job goes far beyond the writing of traditional match reports and manager quotes in 2019.
“The job is now effectively an all encompassing, one-stop shop for fans to get their daily LFC fix and I can’t wait to truly get stuck into the role and try and maintain its lofty standing in the sports journalism industry. It’s a dream come true.”
Joining Paul on the journey is 20-year veteran Ian Doyle as Chief Liverpool Writer.
Ian has been following the Reds for more than two decades and will be drawing on that experience to provide authoritative comment, insightful colour and daily coverage of the club.
Born in St Helens, Ian has covered numerous big finals and watched Liverpool lift plenty of trophies during his years operating as a journalist - and will hope to see much more silverware in the campaigns to come.
The duo have already watched the Reds lift the European Super Cup and will join forces to cover ever game - both home and away - throughout the season.
We're confident there's no better place to follow all things regarding Liverpool, as well as providing you with the best insight, analysis, podcasts and much much more.
The Reds have conquered all of Europe, and we know they're never gonna stop - and the ECHO will be there every step of the way.
