Half term has been a blast for Alex Jones and her family as they ventured back to Wales for a holiday of exploring castles, eating ice creams and generally having a lovely time in The One Show host's homeland.
Alex, along with husband Charlie Thomson and their sons Teddy and Kit, all took in the wet Welsh weather with the newest member of the family, baby Annie, who was born in August.
A bit of rain did not stop the family enjoying Newcastle Emlyn Castle where, as Alex points out in her stories, the last dragon in Wales was slain as legend has it.
The castle overlooks the River Teifi in Carmarthenshire and is around an hour's drive from where Alex, 44, grew up in Ammanford. And today the family were exploring more wet and muddy Welsh countryside.

Earlier this week the family were in Cilgerran where Alex stopped for a coffee break at the Siop y Pentre which has a cute hatch from which you can buy fresh milk and milkshakes. They also stopped by Cenarth Falls.
Alex has spoken in the past about missing Wales, especially during lockdown, she told WalesOnline last year: "People have also said do you miss home, and yes I do and miss my family and friends, but it's never felt that far away. But during lockdown, it did, because suddenly it felt like a big wall had been built,” she said.
“We're a really close family and it was really hard, it was hard on the children but I think it was harder on mum and dad not seeing the children." You can read more of that interview, here.
The TV host is definitely enjoying her maternity break with the family, but the hardworker has popped back to our screens a handful of times since giving birth. Returning for a special show from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and for a Children in Need announcement last week.
And the holiday comes just days after the presenter shared the news she was making another documentary about fertility. Back in 2016 she fronted Fertility & Me, which charted her fertility journey before she had her three children. This time the documentary will be on digital channel, W.
