The One Show presenter Alex Jones was left in tears after she received a heartbreaking letter from a viewer.
Alex, 44, announced she was expecting baby number three with her husband Charlie Thomson live on the BBC show back in March.
The star revealed that to congratulate her on her pregnancy, a fan sent in a sweet note, as well as a special gift for her newborn.
Alex shared a picture of the letter with her 293,000 followers on her Instagram stories, where she revealed it brought her to tears.
She captioned the snap: "Thank you so much Pauline! Your card made me cry happy tears.
"Means so much to hear from viewers and I love the elf hat xx."
The note read: "Dear Alex, so thrilled for you with the news you're expecting a girl!
"Have enclosed something for later on, hope you/ she liked."
The fan went on to say how the BBC show "kept her going" following the death of her husband a year ago.
The note continued: "Thank you also for keeping us going each night on The One Show.
"I lost my husband suddenly at the end of last May.
"Your cheery face has kept me going - Thank you."
The author of the note also revealed that her late husband and the BBC presenter had something in common.
"You share the same birthday as him 18th March so you know he was a good soul," the card read.
"Hope you keep well and fit and your confinement goes well."
It was signed off: "Keep safe, with love."
