Vicky Jones’s award-winning hit The One is a viciously funny new play about a couple trapped in a violent and destructive cycle of co-dependent love and lust. The Australian premiere is directed by Tanya Dickson, with text re-imagined for local audiences.
The play makes “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” look sweet, according to The Guardian. Through 65 minutes of sex, violence and snack food, asks: ‘In the warfare of modern relationships, what are the rules of engagement?’
