The one liner from Nigel Owens after former Irish rugby star encounters common summer problem

Nigel Owens provided more comedy gold on social media when former Ireland and Lions No.8 Jamie Heaslip tweeted about a common problem encountered by householders in the summer months.

The Welsh referee is proving himself to be as much a dab hand with cows as he is is officiating some of the biggest Test matches on planet rugby.

But the 2015 Rugby World Cup final official is also renowned for his one-liners be it on the rugby pitch or on social media.

And when Dubliner Heaslip tweeted out he was having problems with a Wasps nest in his garden, the 36-year-old former back-rower, who was capped 95 times by Ireland and made five appearances for the Lions in an 11-year Test career, was inundated with replies how to get rid of them.

He tweeted out: "Have a Wasps nest in a old wall in the garden. Best way to politely ask them to jog on?"

From solutions ranging from smoke, peppermint oil and petrol, came a one-liner from Owens that referred to the time Heaslip encountered English Premiership giants Wasps in some classic clashes in the European Champions Cup.

"Well what was your tactic when you beat them in Heineken Cup. Try it again and see," tweeted Owens, in reply.
