The one issue Christian Eriksen faced against Crystal Palace at the new Tottenham stadium

Christian Eriksen has outlined the one thing he and his teammates must get used to at the new Tottenham Stadium.

After more than a season at Wembley Stadium plus months of delays and two tests events, Spurs finally staged a Premier League fixture at the redeveloped White Hart Lane and they beat London rivals Crystal Palace 2-0.

Son Heung-min had the honour of scoring the first ever Premier League goal at the new Tottenham stadium, but the Denmark international also got in on the act with a strike which clinched victory.

The next game at the new stadium is the Champions League quarter-final first-leg against Manchester City on Tuesday night.

And Eriksen admits the Spurs squad must get used to the noise inside the new ground as he highlighted the one problem he faced during the win over the Eagles.

"It was very different because we needed to shout to each other but that's what it's like in a big stadium, so we'll have to get used to that," he told the club's official website.

"But it helps that everyone is with us, in our stadium supporting us – it’s a big push.

"The first game back at our home was immense," he added. "We have been waiting for a very long time to be here, so it was very special to be back home and it also felt like home straight away.

"The stadium's incredible. You have to build up the history with time but take all the facilities and the pitch and everything around like the atmosphere, it’s up there (with the best in the world).

"I think people can be really satisfied with what’s happened because it’s been a long wait, everyone’s been waiting for a long time, so it’s very special to finally be here and of course to win."
