The one Chelsea player who could prove the difference in Champions League clash with Krasnodar

Michael Owen has submitted his prediction for Chelsea's Champions League clash with Krasnodar on Wednesday and he thinks one player in particular could make all the difference.

The Blues are still looking for their first Champions League win of the season having drawn their European opener with Europa League champions Sevilla last week.

On Tuesday, they go up against Russian outfit Krasnodar away from home in what could be a tricky trip for Frank Lampard's men.

Krasnodar finished third in the Russian Premier League last season and there's no secret that away games in that part of Europe are no walk in the park.

Though, according to former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Owen, Chelsea will have more than enough to come through their trip to Russia unscathed, especially armed with Christian Pulisic.

Frank Lampard says Maguire tackle was a "clear penalty"

"Chelsea opened their Champions League campaign with a goalless draw against last year’s Europa League winners Sevilla," Owen wrote in his Bet Victor predictions, tipping a 2-0 away win.

"The Blues will be targeting 3 points in this one, and with Christian Pulisic now fit, I think the Blues should have more than enough to take the points back to Stamford Bridge.

The meeting between Chelsea and Krasnodar is the first in history with the Russian outfit only qualifying for the Champions League once previously.

In their opening group stage clash, Krasonar drew 1-1 with Rennes, Cristian Ramirez cancelling out Serhou Guirassy's opener within three minutes.

Chelsea head into this one having picked up a valuable point at Old Trafford against Manchester United on the weekend, keeping a much-needed Premier League clean sheet.

The result means it's now two clean sheets from two games following the draw with Sevilla, and Chelsea will look to build on those results with goals and a win against Krasnodar on Wednesday evening.
