The Office star makes EastEnders cameo and fans can't deal with it

Fans of The Office were delighted to see an old face turn up in EastEnders.

The BBC One soap opera's episode on Tuesday night saw Ian Beale ( Adam Woodyatt ) faced with his new purchase arriving on the Square early.

Having bought a bench to mark the loss of teen Dennis Rickman - which he had some part in - to give some comfort to Dennis' mum, Sharon Watts ( Letitia Dean ), Ian didn't expect it arriving today.

That wasn't all as the delivery driver seemed to think it was to commemorate Ian's own death - to his and mum Kathy's ( Gillian Taylforth ) surprise.

If that mix-up wasn't amusing enough, the delivery man was also played by Ewen MacIntosh, aka Big Keith from iconic Ricky Gervais sitcom The Office.

Naturally, seeing Big Keith on their screens went down a treat with fans of The Office.

One viewer noted on Twitter : "Keith off the Office on #Eastenders mun @ewenmacintosh "

Another surprised fan tweeted: "Keith From The Office really brings the script to life, doesn't he? #EastEnders "

A different viewer asked: "How long has #BigKeith been in #Eastenders????? Or is it just a once off ? #Booyakasha #TheOffice "

"Isn't that the bloke who used to be in The Office? #EastEnders," caught on another fan.

Another EastEnders viewer opined: "Big Keith from The Office in #EastEnders disappointed with the lack of scotch eggs though."

It was certainly an eventful episode on the Square tonight, as Kush Kazemi feared that Jean Slater was heading for another breakdown and Phil Mitchell seems primed to purchase the Queen Vic from the Carters.
