The Oasis-inspired camper van bar set up by a Gallagher

If you're feeling Supersonic and want a gin and tonic then there's a new mobile music bar that may have you covered.

The Oasis-themed camper van is even owned by a Gallagher... not either of those two though.

Ged Gallagher and John Bennett, both of Bolton, are lifelong friends with a love of beer, indie music and football.

John told the Manchester Evening News that it was actually his teenage daughter that inspired him to start up the business.

"Me and Ged have been friends for 40 years and we've both had successful careers but we decided it was time to get away from the rat race and have a bit of fun," he said.

"Around 18 months ago I noticed that my teenage daughter and her friends were listening to bands such as Oasis and Stone Roses, that I've been following for 30 years.

Meanwhile, Ged had taken inspiration from his nephews Mark and Paul, who opened the popular Definitely Maybe Bar in Bolton town centre, early last year.

Between them, John and Ged bought a classic 1972 Volkswagen Camper and transformed it into a mobile bar, named Supersonic, after the Oasis hit.

The camper van is adorned with paisley and the friends even have cardboard cut outs of Liam and Noel.

John added: "The plan is that we hire the van out for weddings, parties, and events. We'll even bring it to your garden parties.

"We can do it with or without bar staff and at every event, a bespoke drinks and music selection can be agreed in advance.

"The feedback so far has been fantastic."

The bar popped up outside Definitely Maybe during England's Euro 2020 match with Croatia and the friends said that a number of local cricket clubs have expressed an interest in having it as an outdoor bar.

John confirmed that 5pc of annual takings will also be donated to the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust.
