Rachel Bilson said she felt "confused" over The O.C. co-star Mischa Barton's claims she was "bullied" on set.
According to Mischa, she left the drama and her starring role as Marissa Cooper as she was having issues on set.
She also claimed that Rachel - her former best friend - being added to the series last minute was also a problem.
"It had a lot to do with them adding Rachel in last minute as, after the first season, a series regular and evening out everybody's pay," the 35-year-old told E! News in May.
"And sort of general bullying from some of the men on set that kind of felt really s****y."
Rachel had heard about the comments and discussed it on a new episode of her Welcome to the O.C., B***hes podcast with the series' alum Melinda Clarke.
The 39-year-old, who played Marissa’s best friend Summer Roberts, said she and Melinda talked "immediately" after seeing what Mischa said in the interview and both were gobsmacked.
“We were just like, ‘Wait, what?’” she said.
Rachel denied Mischa’s claims that she was added to the cast last minute.
She told listeners: ”That's misinformation. Where is she going with this and what is she trying to say?
“I would actually like to talk to her and find out what her experience was from her perspective because I saw things a little differently."
In her interview, Mischa claimed that "some of the men" - who she didn't name - bullied her.
"I mean, I'm definitely pretty confused by most of it," Rachel said. "And I don't know who she's referring to because I didn't personally witness any of that."
The popular showed starred Adam Brody (Seth Cohen), Ben McKenzie (Ryan Atwood), Peter Gallagher (Sandy Cohen), Tate Donovan (Jimmy Cooper), and Chris Carmack (Luke Ward).
The OC last four seasons between 2003 and 2007 but Mischa left it after the third season.
