The number of new covid cases in Leeds as 82 confirmed across Yorkshire

Nine more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Leeds, bringing the city’s total to 4,124.

According to data published by Public Health England, 82 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Yorkshire in the past 24 hours.

Bradford recorded the most new cases with 24, followed by Kirklees with 16.

This brings the total number of cases confirmed in the region since the start of the outbreak to 33,317.

Meanwhile, the two NHS Trusts in Leeds (Leeds Teaching Hospitals and Leeds Community Healthcare) have not recorded a single coronavirus-related death since Thursday.

It means the death toll for Leeds remains at 340.

Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Yorkshire:

  • Leeds - was 4,115 now 4,124 (+9)

  • Barnsley - was 2,082 now 2,088 (+6)

  • Bradford - was 5,711 now 5,735 (+24)

  • Calderdale - was 1,068 now 1,073 (+5)

  • Doncaster - was 2,054 now 2,055 (+1)

  • East Yorkshire - was 1,672 now 1,675 (+3)

  • Hull - remains 1,596

  • Kirklees - was 2,751 now 2,767 (+16)

  • North Yorkshire - was 2,648 now 2,650 (+2)

  • Rotheram- was 2,135 now 2,136 (+1)

  • Sheffield - was 4,498 now 4,506 (+8)

  • Wakefield - was 1,997 now 2,003 (+6)

  • York - was 938 now 939 (+1)
