The number of fans Hibs want inside Easter Road for Europa Conference League clash revealed

Hibs hope they can have 5000 home supporters when they start their European adventure.

The Easter Road side will have the first leg of their Europa Conference League on July 22.

They still wait to discover who they’ll face with Gibraltar’s Mons Calpe and Andorra’s Santa Coloma still to play.

And according to the Daily Record, they’ve now applied for 5000 fans to be inside the ground to cheer Jack Ross’ men on.

Both clubs are awaiting news from the government on whether their requests will be confirmed, but it’s unlikely to be enough to satisfy demand.

Jason Leitch revealed on Sunday that Scottish football clubs could give have full stadia by August.

The national clinical director believes it could be possible if plans for restrictions to be completely relaxed on August 9 go ahead.

Hibs are also looking for 5000 fans to attend their pre-season friendly with Arsenal as a test event.

The Leith side are confident it will be allowed with 16,500 across the city at Murrayfield for the British and Irish Lions clash with Japan at the weekend.
