The Notts beer gardens praised by readers as being the best

Readers have praised a Nottinghamshire beer garden as "amazing" after it reopened following lockdown.

We asked Nottinghamshire Live readers 'what has been the best Nottingham beer garden since lockdown eased?'.

One pub came out on top, with The Gedling Inn mentioned numerous times by punters.

Pubs and restaurants were allowed to open for outdoor service on April 12.

Alex Lindley said: "The Nelson in Burton Joyce and the Gedling Inn have both done amazing jobs."

Alex Newsome added: "As per all the messages the Gedling Inn are smashing it."

Leyanna Surgey said: "The Waterfront Nottingham. Perfectly distanced, amazing food and on a good day the sunshine is beaming.

"Can of course use my own garden, but for the first time in a long time the atmosphere was there.

"They have taken this very seriously with security ensuring everyone is sticking by the rules and everyone is safe."

Mick Martin said: "The Sherwood great people fantastic staff. great prices."

Duncan Brown said: "The Wollaton Pub and Kitchen is great and have loads of outdoor seating."

Paul Bancroft said: "John Barleycorn. Great open space and wonderfully crafted natural garden. 10/10."

Other people praised Trent Navigation, The Lambley, Vat and Fiddle, The Embankment, Cross Keys and The Lion at Basford.
