The Nottinghamshire neighbourhoods with the highest and lowest Covid rates

New data published by the government shows the 12 Nottinghamshire neighbourhoods that have seen the highest rates of Covid infections this past week.

Nottinghamshire remains one of the highest counties in terms of cases and has seen an increase in case rates in several neighbourhoods.

The statistics detail all cases recorded in the week up to August 17, which is the latest available data.

The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people.

These are the worst areas in terms of case rate:

  • Mansfield Town Centre & Broomhill - 812.5

  • Sutton Central & Leamington - 804.3

  • Yeoman Hill & Maun Valley - 759.4

  • Woodhouse - 751.4

  • Worksop Town & South - 697.2

  • Oak Tree & Ransom Wood - 692.5

  • Beechdale - 683.6

  • Market Warsop - 670.4

  • Keyworth North, Tollerton & Willoughby - 655.7

  • Sutton Forest Side & New Cross - 654.9

  • Compton Acres & Lutterell - 621.9

  • Huthwaite - 613.7

The four neighbourhoods with the lowest rates are:

  • University Park, Lenton Abbey & Jubilee Campus - 127.1

  • Kimberley South, Trowell & Awsworth - 189.6

  • Arboretum, Forest & Trent University - 192.0

  • Old Basford - 195.7

According to Government data, nearly 90 million people have received one of their vaccinations.

It comes as the number of hospital admissions in the seven days up to August 15 has risen to 114, compared to 81 in the previous seven days.

As of August 17, the NHS in Nottinghamshire had 146 hospital beds occupied by Covid patients.
