Nottingham Forest continue to be linked with a move for Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne.
The front man has been on loan at Belgian side Club Brugge and is said to still be attracting much interest from clubs in England.
According to Turkish media outlet Fotomac, the Reds, along with Championship rivals Leeds United and Premier League team Watford, remain keen on the 28-year-old.
It is said the belief is Diagne has a good chance of playing in England next season, with Galatasaray placing a 5m euros pricetag on his head.
The forward added fuel to the fire about a potential move to the City Ground earlier this month.
Posting a picture on Instagram of himself in Champions League action with a Forest badge edited into the shot, he wrote: “Destiny is written and the truth remains. Thank you very much, my God. I accept everything you do for me.”
But he cleared up speculation by later saying: "I posted it but I didn't realise what was on it, and it certainly wasn't anything official. But once it was done, it was done. It wasn't intentional."
Fotomac also suggest there is a chance the Senegal international could remain with Galatasaray.
They claim he is “ready to reduce his salary” to secure a fresh opportunity with the club.
