The Nottingham Forest injury update fans will love to see

Nottingham Forest have issued an injury update on midfielder Samba Sow.

The summer signing from Dynamo Moscow played his last match on February 15, the 2-2 draw with fellow Championship promotion hopefuls West Bromwich Albion.

Sow picked up a knee injury in that game and missed the subsequent four matches including the 3-0 defeat to Millwall earlier this month.

Mali international Sow has been a vital cog in Sabri Lamouchi's side, anchoring midfielder in the Frenchman's favoured 4-2-3-1 setup alongside captain Ben Watson.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Reds ' official Twitter account posted a video of Sow doing various exercises.

The 30-year-old was seen on an exercise bike, doing squats and on a leg press machine.

With the Reds' season currently postponed because of coronavirus, one small silver lining is that the players who are currently out injured, including Tiago Silva and Tendayi Darikwa as well as Sow, could be back fit for an all-important nine game run-in.

Forest are in fifth place, ten points behind West Brom in second.

The EFL suspended the season until the end of April last week, with the Reds' May 2 clash with Stoke City the only game scheduled to go ahead at the time of writing.
