A number of people from Northumberland have been named in the Queen's Birthday Honours list this year.
Alongside scores of others across the UK, they have been honoured for their hard work and contribution to public life.
The 2021 list includes those who have been awarded MBEs and OBEs for their achievements.
Among the group are people who have been singled out for their work in education, charity and the improvement of their communities.
Professor Suzanne Cholerton, Pro-Vice-Chancellor at Newcastle University, is made an OBE for services to higher education.
