Jon Walker, political editor of the Newcastle Chronicle and Journal, gives us the perspective from the north east, while Sheffield Star editor Nancy Fielder tells us how the campaign is playing out in south Yorkshire, particularly since the widespread floods that hit a couple of weeks ago.
But our big focus is on all the things that may have been overlooked so far - from bus services to social care, school funding to infrastructure.
