The nine Bristol areas which are almost 'Covid free'

Nine areas in Bristol are now almost covid free, latest government figures show.

That is a rise of a third in the space of two days.

And a further eight areas in the city only recorded a handful of coronavirus cases in this latest data set, which covers the seven days to February 27.

Meanwhile, nine areas in North Somerset and five in South Gloucestershire recorded fewer than three cases.

All areas in the Bristol region are continuing to record infection rates below 400 per 100,000.

Below are the neighbourhoods with a case rate below 50:

Where is the data coming from?

You can see the latest national data on the government's website.

The map displays weekly data, which are updated everyday.

The data can be viewed by local authority but also by smaller sections called 'Middle Super Output Areas'.

The map highlights which areas of the nation have three or more confirmed cases of the virus and colour co-coordinates the areas by how many cases they have.
