We're less than a month away from the premiere of The Night Agent season 3, but the return of the hit Netflix show is as secretive as Gabriel Lasso's conspiracy-debunking protagonist.
The streamer only released the official synopsis last week and we've seen just one full trailer for the third installment released so far. Considering season 1 has been crowned one of the most watched Netflix shows of all time, though, there's an argument to be made as to whether it needs any promotion at all. Following on from the explosive ending of The Night Agent season 2, which saw Basso's Peter Sutherland turn himself in to Catherine and Night Action, season 3 will take us from the US to Mexico City and Istanbul.
We dive into all its globetrotting plans and more, including release date and confirmed cast, below so scroll on for everything you need to know about The Night Agent season 3.
The Night Agent season 3 release date

The Night Agent season 3 finally has an official release date of February 19, 2026.
The Night Agent season 2 finished filming back around mid-2024 before releasing on January 23, 2025, so season 3 is following a similar pattern as production wrapped back in July.
The Night Agent season 3 plot

"Night Agent Peter Sutherland is called in to track down a young Treasury Agent who fled to Istanbul with sensitive government intel after killing his boss," reads The Night Agent season 3's official synopsis. "This kicks off a sequence of events where Peter investigates a dark money network while avoiding its paid assassins, while putting him on a collision course with a relentless journalist. Working together, they uncover buried secrets and old grudges that threaten to bring the government to its knees - and get them both killed in the process."
Basso previously revealed to GamesRadar+ that the final episode of season 2 leads straight into the events of season 3 – and that it boasts one heck of a crazy stunt.
If you need a quick recap, the previously chapter ended with Peter being given a chance to redeem himself, after it was exposed that he had been cooperating with the intelligence broker Jacob Monroe (who interfered with the presidential election). It's clear that Monroe is working with the next president-elect and Catherine wants to know more about the connection between the two. Peter is tasked with gaining Monroe's trust and collecting information in order to eventually destroy him.
The Night Agent season 3 trailer
Netflix sure kept us waiting for the first full trailer for The Night Agent season 3, with the streamer dropping it online on January 21. In the promo, which you can watch above, we hear Sutherland say that he "made a promise to protect people" as he beats up baddies on the rooftops of Istanbul. "So where do you need me?"
We then see Sutherland being briefed on a terrorist attack that happened "two nights ago", before another bunch of clips suggest that Sutherland is having a difficult time working with Louis Herthum's Jacob. He then reaches out to new character, journalist Isabel, for help, despite the fact that she "has no reason" to trust him... Tensions and political are high, to say the least. Watch it above.
Netflix previously unveiled a (very brief) teaser for the new batch of episodes in October 2025, which announced season 3's release date and showed Sutherland talking to a new target in a packed-out stadium. "Listen to me. There are people looking for you," he says. "Do exactly what I tell you to do, and we'll get out of here safely." We then get a glimpse of a car chase, a burning building, and some tense fight scenes.
