The NFL world was stunned that Patrick Mahomes practiced 6 days after dislocating kneecap

The entire outlook of the NFL season seemed to take a major hit on Thursday when Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went down with what ended up being a dislocated kneecap.

Despite the MRI returning a best-case result for Mahomes, the Chiefs were initially quick to rule Mahomes out for at least three week (and possibly longer).

Well, the MVP quarterback may have a superhuman knee.

Mahomes made a return to practice less than a week after the injury, and head coach Andy Reid wasn’t prepared to rule Mahomes out for Sunday’s game against the Packers.

While this could very well be gamesmanship on Reid’s part, Mahomes was willing to give it a go on Wednesday. Backup quarterback Matt Moore was still slated to take the majority of first-team reps.

But still, the fact that Mahomes was even attempting to practice six days after dislocating his kneecap had the NFL world in a state of disbelief.
