The NFL should host the Pro-Bowl in Canton to celebrate its 100th year anniversary

Let’s get this out of the way: yes, Canton, Ohio will be freezing cold the weekend between the AFC and NFC championship game. That doesn’t change my opinion. If the NFL isn’t going to host a regular season game in Canton, Ohio on the 100th year anniversary of the league . . . then it should play an exhibition game with the stars of the league — who didn’t make the Super Bowl — at the end of the season.

Let’s address that cold thing again. So what? The NFL was supposed to be played in cold weather. That’s what football is all about. Imagine how cool it would be if the Pro Bowl was played in the snow. Before we talk about player safety, the NFL played the Pro Bowl in some rain last year. Players go at about 60 percent if that. They could jump around in the snow. It’s not that big of a deal. The league can’t control the weather in Orlando either and rain is worse conditions to watch and play football.

It’s not as if the NFL has a huge crowd at the Pro Bowl in Orlando. Anyone who watched the game last year could see the crowd was a bit scarce. Bringing the Pro Bowl to the Hall of Fame puts a nice bow on the season.

So to review: snow games are awesome, the players don’t go 100 percent in warm weather anyway, snow games are awesome, Canton deserves something in the 100th season, it would be a cool idea, snow games are awesome, and why not? I think that covers it.
