The NFL’s YouTube channel refers to The Rock as ‘Guy from Fortnite’

Super Bowl 56’s opening was electrifying beyond all imagination, thanks to some guy from Fortnite.

Now, you’re probably confused as to why I would refer to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in such an ill befitting way. After all, the people’s champ gave one heck of an opening speech. Well, take all complaints up with the NFL.

Over on YouTube, the clip of Johnson’s speech titled “Guy from Fortnite with The Most Electrifying Introduction in Super Bowl History” was uploaded onto the NFL’s official channel on Sunday. It’s not untrue, as Johnson is indeed in Fortnite — clearly his most significant achievement in entertainment thus far. Yup, no question!

Snark aside, you’ve got to hand it to the NFL’s social media team for this one. Johnson is, quite literally, the highest-paid actor perhaps ever. Everyone knows who he is, so being cheeky via headline is all in good fun. The NFL even did a crossover with Fortnite before!

We still don’t know what Johnson’s mysterious video game adaptation is, though rumors suggest Call of Duty is likely. However, that’s not stopping anyone from guessing what the film might be. Still hoping it’s a big-budget take on Mega Man myself.
