The NFL moment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that would have made Daniel Levy very happy

There was a moment before the second NFL game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium which provided a perfect snapshot of what the Premier League club have been looking for.

Spurs sought to raise their global profile by building a stadium that was not only one of the world's best for football but also for the NFL and with the first of the London Games - with the Oakland Raiders hosting the Chicago Bears last Sunday - the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium drew rave reviews from the players, coaches, fans and media across the USA.

Now Tottenham, who have signed a ten-year deal with the NFL for two games a season, have had another moment that would have shown those across the Atlantic how the Spurs brand is travelling quickly.

Ahead of the second game at the stadium, with the  Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the Carolina Panthers, the Panthers' starting quarter back Kyle Allen took to the field to warm up.

The 23-year-old has been impressing while filling in for the injured Cam Newton this season and he certainly seemed to have taken a shine to his new home on Sunday.

Allen was shown wearing a navy Tottenham Hotspur cap, with the cockerel emblazoned on the front, as he threw the ball around the pitch in the warm-up in images screened across America via the NFL Network.

The game was the only one on at that time in the USA with its 2.30pm start time in the UK, meaning it was being screened live in the morning across America.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was in attendance at the match and he no doubt would have been delighted at the 'synergy' of the club's brand and the NFL, on top of the stadium itself becoming a star in its own right in the American sport.
