If you are taking the social distancing directive seriously (and you should), that means more time at home.
Normally, being around the house is a great excuse to watch sports. But these are not normal times, as the coronavirus has put a halt to sporting events around the world.
To fill the void, ESPN has broadcast some classic NCAA men's basketball contests, and the MLB Network has shown old games, including the "Pine Tar" game.
The NFL stepped up Wednesday, announcing free access to its Game Pass, which offers a chance to watch regular-season and postseason games. For Chiefs fans, that means Super Bowl LIV can be viewed again and again while the COVID-19 rules are in place.
Signing up is relatively easy. Fans must create an account at NFL.com/GamePass, or via the NFL app on mobile and connected TV devices. No credit card is required. Game Pass will be available free of charge until May 31 to fans within the U.S.
In addition to regular season and postseason NFL games from 2009 to 2019, the NFL's shows like "Hard Knocks" will be available along with film sessions with Brian Baldinger and Ron Jaworski. The All-22 coaches film can be viewed as well as condensed 45-minute game replays.
The NFL also announced its digital platforms will offer fans full-game encores each day on NFL.com, its app and the NFL's YouTube channel.
In its news release, the league said: "These encores will feature signature wins from all 32 teams starting with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs leading a stunning 4th quarter comeback over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV."
The featured games will be available for viewing each day by 11 a.m.
