The NFL held a mock draft ahead of the real thing and reports say it was a disaster

If you’re wondering if the 2020 NFL draft that will be held virtually will be as chaotic and glitch-filled as your Zoom or Google Hangouts calls are during isolation and quarantine, the answer is: the mock draft that was held on Monday sounded like a disaster.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there was already a “technical glitch” with the very first pick in the  draft, one that belonged to the Cincinnati Bengals. And Schefter’s colleague Dianna Russini later added “bandwith” was a problem, causing “communication issues.”

Of course, this is an unprecedented situation. We’ve never had a virtual draft like this before, so holding a mock procedure can hopefully smooth out any and all kinks before Thursday:

Hopefully, it all gets sorted out. Otherwise, it’s going to be quite a memorable draft for the wrong reasons.
