The NFL gave us a sloppy and boring Week 10 slate

The NFL gave fans an unusual amount of sloppy football and blowouts, especially in the early slate of games and on Thursday Night Football. Every game counts the same, but man, it would have been fun to watch some competitive football before the start of a new week.

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens played a game that barely resembled football in a 22-10 loss to the Dolphins. Matt Ryan and the Falcons got their pants pulled over their head by former head coach Dan Quinn in a 43-3 annihilation at the hands of the Cowboys. The Browns were never competitive with the Patriots, losing 45-7. The Jets got sent to the moon by the Bills, losing 45-17. The Colts whooped up on the Jaguars most of the game before Jacksonville made it close at the end.

Hey, at least the Steelers and Lions played a close game down to the last seconds of overtime, tying at 16 after five quarters. At least Detroit will avoid being the first 0-17 team in NFL history.

Unless you root for a team that just obliterated their opponent, this week in the NFL has been unsatisfying. This isn’t what anyone needed as the Sunday Scaries start to kick in and Monday peeks it’s ugly head around the corner.
