The next Call of Duty game could be set in Vietnam, according to an insider

The next Call of Duty to be released this year could be set in Vietnam, at least according to a source on Twitter.

With a previous record of delivering accurate leaks and predictions, veteran reporter Jason Schier certainly has insider knowledge when it comes to these things.

If he's right, as he shared on Twitter, the next instalment is known at this time simply as 'Call of Duty: Vietnam'.

Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare only launched late last year, and it's more recent free DLC battle royale mode Warzone added in March, fans are always looking forward to what's coming next.

In an interaction on Twitter, Schrier shared what he knows about the upcoming Call of Duty title. He also claimed that the title most likely isn't going to be another reboot, but will be the next instalment set within the Black Ops franchise.

From 2005 onwards, Acitvision, Infinity Ward and Treyarch has released a Call of Duty game every single year to 2019, so it makes sense that we'd be looking at another Call of Duty entry later this year.

If the coronavirus pandemic delays or hinders this in any way, we won't know until there's an official announcement.

The last Black Ops game, named Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, was released back in 2018. However, it only included multiplayer mode and had no single-player campaign, which was a sorely missed feature for fans.

People will no doubt be wondering if this turns out to be the same with this purported next Black Ops game.
