Some US media outlets have been criticised for their coverage of Israel's devastating military offensive in Gaza, including legacy brands like the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, and The New York Times. According to The Intercept, top editors at The Times told journalists to limit the use of terms like "genocide" and "ethnic cleansing" and avoid using the term "occupied territory".
