The new tempting cake coming to Asda that tastes like Guinness

If you enjoy the smokey flavour of a pint of Guinness and love chocolate, then Asda has the perfect sweet treat for you.

This month a new Guinness chocolate cake is launching at Asda supermarkets across the UK.

The cake, flavoured with the iconic Irish dry stout, is priced at £11 and will be available to buy in stores from Tuesday, MirrorOnline reports.

The delicious sweet treat features four spongey layers of cake with decadent chocolate frosting in between.

The cake, which is a real treat for the eyes, is then finished with cream cheese topping, which is designed to resemble the froth on a pint.

Each cake provides 10 servings - at 318 calories per slice – and is designed to be ideal for parties or gatherings.

The Guinness chocolate cake is created by Finsbury Food Group, which said: "Our team of cake experts have ensured the cake is beautifully finished with a creamy topping that replicates the dark and light mix seen on an iconic pint of Guinness so the new cake will make a stunning centrepiece on any dining table."

Whilst the Guinness cake is exclusive to Asda, Finsbury Food Group said that it hopes to be selling it at other supermarkets by the end of the year - so keep your eyes peeled.
