The new season’s hottest menswear collaborations

Budapest-brand Nanushka launch their debut menswear collection at Liberty London (Picture: Nanushka)

Autumn is the hardest time of the year to dress for: just what is the weather doing?

Though you can never be quite sure just what the climate's got up its sleeve, there are some very cool menswear collaborations on the horizon providing the ultimate transitional pieces (luckily their currency just happens to be major fashion brownie points.)

Cool enough to wear through the most unpredictable of weather, here's the best of the best.

Barbour x Margaret Howell

Barbour x Margaret Howell Hayden Jacket (Barbour)

Margaret Howell has become renowned in the fashion world for her tonal palette, and her first menswear capsule collection is no exception. A year on from the success of her AW18 women’s collection, she’s designed three different styles all inspired by the Barbour archive, which dates back to 1910.

Pair the knee-length black wax jacket with ankle-length jeans and some Reebok’s for a perfect autumnal look.

Comme des Garçons Homme Plus x Nike Air Jordan’s

COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Jordan 1 sneakers (COMME des GARÇONS Hommes Plus )

Rei Kawakubo’s line has a history of partnering with Nike and unveiling its new collaborations during Comme des Garçon fashion shows and this season is no exception. Straight off the AW19 runway, this capsule takes the form of an Air Force 1, and comes in either black or white, with metallic detailing. For fashion guys in the know.

Available to buy from September 14 at Dover Street Market.

Dr. Martens x Nanamica

The Dr. Martens x Nanamica Camberwell (Dr.Martens )

Sales of Dr. Martens have risen by 70 per cent in the last year so it comes as no surprise that the brand is further cementing its recent surge of success with a winning collaboration. The third iteration of its partnership with Tokyo-based label Nanamica, this limited-edition collection merges the trademark Dr. Marten’s sole with two different varieties of soft-grain leather. As far as winter shoes go, these are a safe bet.

Pop Trading Company x Parra

Pop Trading Company x Parra (Pop Trading Company)

The Amsterdam-based label is as of yet relatively unknown in the UK, but it's the Dutch go-to label for hipsters. Its latest collaboration is with fellow Dutch visual artist Parra, who's created visuals for Nike. The long-sleeve navy shirt with black jeans and box-fresh black trainers is a recipe for a sure-fire fashion moment.

Available to buy from selected retailers now.

Nanushka x Diemme

Nanushka's debut menswear collection launches at Liberty London (Nanushka)

Uber-cool, Budapest-based brand Nanushka launched its debut menswear collection at New York Fashion Week in February, and the pieces are available to buy from Liberty and via FarFetch as of September. Having joined the 'Make Fashion Circular' initiative, set up by the Ellen MacArthur foundation, the brand has a laser sharp focus on ethical and sustainable clothing. But, when they also make clothes that look this good? Killing two birds with one stone springs to mind.

Available to buy from September 30 at Liberty London.
