The new rules and hours at Next as it reopens in Wales on Monday

Shoppers are finally able to head to their favourite shops on Monday after more lockdown restrictions are lifted across Wales.

Coronavirus cases have fallen to their lowest rate since September and vaccination rates continue to improve. The pressure on hospitals is also easing which means shops can finally open again.

In addition to non-essential retail reopening, schools can fully re-open to all pupils following the Easter break and close contact services can also open again. You can read about all the changes from April 12 here.

The Welsh Government announced on Thursday that the planned date that gyms and leisure centres can re-open has been brought forward, by a week, along with when people will be allowed to form an extended household - so meet family or friends indoors.

Also being brought forward is the date people can take part in organised outdoor activities and outdoor wedding receptions.

But here's what you need to know if you're planning a shopping trip to Next on Monday.

What rules will be place?

The retailer has said all stores already have pre-set customer capacities from when they were previously open - this is so stores are not overcrowded and everyone can stay socially distanced.

The changing rooms, however, will remain closed.

There will be hand sanitiser stations and shoppers will of course have to wear face coverings, unless exempt.

What time will stores across Wales open?

When it comes to opening times, Its best to check Next up-to-date store finder online.
